Hey all...
I can't make up my mind. It is a pondering question that lingers in the back of my mind that from time to time, such as today, that creeps up from the deep dark dusty corner of my thoughts. You know that feeling that comes over you when the sudden rush of adrenaline throws you out from under your soft and warm blankets once you realize that you somehow slept through your alarm? That feeling that you have when you roll over and see that the clock says that you didn't get up when you were suppose to. The running and searching for everything that you thought that you had put out the night before, i.e.; lunch, car keys, clothes, etc. Then the frantic race down the highway in hopes that you make it to work on time and/or you do not get pulled over by your friendly law enforcement officer for slightly exceeding the posted speed limits.
Ah, in a nut shell...'tis such a day.
So, this leads me back to my original query. Which is better; to be suddenly awaken by an alarm going off with a noise that sounds similar to that of a wild cat orgy that progessively gets louder, or by the gentle notes and traffic reports that drift across the room from your local soft rock radio station? Beep boop beep boop (meow meoow...meeeooowww meeooooow) vs. calm and soothing riffs. Of course my alarm is set for the radio setting, but now comes in the wild card. What happens (such as today) when you roll over and discover that somehow someone must have broken into your home (eating some of your fresh home made chocolate chip cookies in the process
), crawled into your bedroom and turned the volume dial all the way down. Sure, the radio alarm sounded off at the correct time, but with the volume set at 0.0 it is a little tough to hear. Yet, if I use the regular alarm that variable is removed all together, but you get to wake up to meoww, meoooowww, meeeeooooooooowwwwww....
Damn wild cat orgies.
