Hey all...
Halloween is almost here. Yeahaw!!! As a child, Halloween was always one of my favorite times of the year and still is to this day. Sure, there are other holidays that are wonderful times when the family gets together for feasts and festivities, but this is one time of the year when we adults can cut loose along with the kids. Well, there is that Mardi Gras thingy, but that is for another time...hehe. Oh, and St. Patricks Day too, but the kiddos sometimes don't get to have as much fun then either. So, Halloween is not only a time for the younglings to enjoy, but the adults too. Decorations, costumes, candy (don't eat all of the chocolate Tess!!!), parties, haunted houses and hay rides. Not to mention all the numerous other activities that range from the traditional to the alternative.
So, does anyone out there have a good spooky story to share with all of the readers? Something that you have experienced that sends shivers down your tail bone when you talk about it. Seen something that you can't quite eplain or just don't want to know about?
I know that when I use to work in one of the oldest funeral homes here in the Lou, at night when you were there alone and trying to get out before it got to be too late...yeah, one of those places. The offices were upstairs and when you would be sitting there with it nice and quiet you would sometimes hear a door open and close to the stairs or hear the floor creak as if someone were walking around the building. Ding...I think its' time to go!!!
Or of course there was the old fire house in Johnson City, Tennessee. There, you would be upstairs in the office and you would see someone walk up those stairs and enter into one of the different doorways, but of course this was just out of the corner of your eye. Once you made it down stairs and asked who it could have been, no one would claim that they had gone up for anything and you were the only one up there. Ah...I see.
So, send me your stories of things that have gone bump in the night and I will be sure to share the good ones with all the kiddies around a camp fire on a dark a stormy night. Bwahahaha
Have a super frightening day!
