Hey everyone...

Well, it seems that the local opera company is gearing up for the new season.  Yay!  That is fine and dandy, since I am an opera fan.  Yes, it is true.  One of the perfomances that they are going to have this year is Rossini's Barber of Seville and it is one of my fav-or-rites.  I have seen this opera before and of course it is well known for the portayal in the Bug's Bunny cartoon, the Bunny of Seville.  You know, the one in which Bugs is giving Elmer Fudd a hair cut. 

Anyway, they are going to be performing here at the Lou, but I probably will not go see it this time.  Why, you may ask.  Because the local opera company performs all of their operas in english.  Doh, not in the original language, but english.  I don't know, but it seems to lose some thing in the translation when sang in a language other than what it was orginally scribed in.

Oh well, that's just me and my opinion.
