Hey all…
I don’t know, but I have come to the conclusion that one of the most (if not the greatest) frustrating things in the entire world is the un-packaging and stringing up of Christmas tree/outdoor lights. I mean, if they’re new, you can’t just remove them from the box without having to solve a puzzle on how they coiled them up in such a fashion to get them in that little package in the first place. Once removed, there is no going back. It is like trying to put the yolk back into an egg shell…it just will not work. Tangled up like Medusa’s hairdo, they are going to cause you much pain and suffering in your attempt to keep things nice and neat. Woe is to those with anal tendencies (like yours truly) who has to have things “just so” and those things have to look somewhat like a Hallmark card or you will have to do it all over again. Can you feel my frustration?
Soon though, the holidays will be over and all of those neatly hung lights will be gently taken down and oh-so carefully rolled up and put into bigger boxes for next years performance. Never the less though, they will explode into another huge rats nest of coiled up wire and lights before next December rolls around. Then, you just get to do it all over again.
Yes sir, I can’t wait.
Happy holidays!
